The Audi R8 Spyder was introduced at the IAA Frankfurt in September 2009. The car was available with a 4.2-liter V8 engine and the desirable 5.2-liter V10 engine. The V10 engine was based on the unit from the Lamborghini Gallardo. This naturally aspirated engine delivered 525 horsepower – a top speed of 313 km/h and the 0-100 km/h sprint was able in 4.1 seconds.
